Online Poker Room Reviews
Pacific Poker ReviewOverall Score 7.13 If you're looking for an online poker site with loose easy games comparable to or better than Party Poker, then you'll love this place. If you're looking for sleek, eye pleasing, state of the art graphics and the ability to play four online poker tables at once, then go back to Paradise Poker! I actually really enjoy playing online poker at Pacific. I just hate their software and the fact that they won't let you multi-table. I don't think it's really that they care much about multi-tabling, I think it's more the fact that their software just isn't capable of rendering four visible tables at once. That's really unfortunate because Pacific has some of the juiciest games on the net. They're backed by one of the world's largest online casinos Casino On Net, so not only can you trust them with your bankroll, a lot of their casino players head over to the poker room to check out the action. This equates to finding some very very loose tables, sometimes surpassing those even at Party Poker! I've personally played at tables seeing 80% of the flop for hours at a time. If that doesn't get you drooling I don't know what will. My only problem really is that since I'm forced to remain at only one table, I end up playing limits that are higher than I'd normally play. It's also tempting to play more hands than you normally would simply because when playing only one table, you sometimes have to wait a long long time to get a playable hand. But if you have the patience, you can really clean house here. This place can be very profitable, even at higher limits. I would live here if they allowed multi-tabling and cleaned up their software a bit. There's a reason they named this casino Pacific Poker, because there's a lot of fish swimming around those tables. Game variety is pretty standard here, Holdem, Hi and Hi-Lo in Omaha and seven-card stud, heads up tables, etc... but they don't have as many pot limit games as I'd like to see, and no crazy pineapple. They do have a lot of micro limit tables which are great for beginners to build their confidence at. As far as promotions go Pacific Poker is on the higher end of the spectrum. They offer a 25% deposit bonus up to $100 for new players, as well as the occasional re-load bonus. Your bankroll is very secure here. Their mother company Casino On Net is well established and trustworthy. I would not hesitate to keep a large bankroll tucked away here. Their support is so-so. Email response time is good, but they have no live support (at least any I could find) and their phone support is notoriously slow. But otherwise they were polite when I contacted them. For deposits they accept credit cards, NETeller, Citadel,
FirePay, Wire Transfer, bank transfer, PaySafeCard, BBL Home Pay, checks,
PrePaidATM and more. If you can overlook their lackluster software and don't have your heart set on multi-tabling, then you'll love this place. Pacific Poker really does have some fine games. As long as you remain patient and don't play too many hands, even an intermediate player should be able to make money here. The fish are definitely swimming at Pacific Poker.
